Disney Move Night! - Dumbo

Feel free to use this menu or come up with your own!

Tonight's Disney Movie Night was Dumbo! Dinner was simple - Circus Foods! The pretzels were actually cheese filled soft pretzels, and they were yummy. Did I mention that I make Emery a ticket to every movie and he has to earn his "ticket" by doing his chores each day? I'll add a picture of the tickets next week. It's great because he helps motivate him.

Tonight's craft was making Dumbo ears, so fun! The link to the tutorial and template is here. You can also check out my Pinterest board labeled "Disney Move Night" for more ideas.

For his activity, we played a "game" with a feather where we blew it up in the air and tried to keep it there without it touching the ground. He is still kind of young to grasp the full concept, but he still had a fun time blowing the feather everywhere.

He really did not like the movie though, which is kind of a bummer. He had zero interest in it, he played with cars pretty much the entire time. We ate dinner in the living room while we watched the movie, trying to make it feel like we were at the circus about to watch the show but after he ate he was done watching. Hopefully he will enjoy the next movie! Until next time...

Disney Fun Day - Pinocchio

So, we have way too many Disney movies to watch to try to do dinners for each one, so some just have a snack, activity, and craft. Today's fun movie day was Pinocchio! For our craft, we printed out a puppet coloring sheet and colored it. Then we cut it out and put split pins in it to create a moving puppet. The link to the particular one we used can be found on my Pinterest board labeled "Disney Movie Night".

Our activity was simply just to play with our new puppets. They were interesting to him for a few minutes. ;) And our snack was quite simple, we ate pretzel rods that we called "Pinocchio noses".

He wasn't into the movie all that much, he only watched bits and pieces. But we still had a fun time!

Until next time!

Disney Movie Night! - Snow White

So, we decided to start Disney Dinner and Movie Nights as part of our family's "Summer of Fun!". For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, basically one night a week we plan a themed dinner and craft for a certain Disney movie. We are going in order (because I have slight OCD) and our first movie was Snow White. I'm so excited about this because 1- Emery will get to see all the Disney movie's before our Disneyland vacation next year and 2- who doesn't love Disney fun?!

Tonight our craft was simple, we made our own Magic Mirrors. It's really easy but also great for all ages. For ours I used construction paper, cut it into a mirror shape, then I had Emery color it. Then I cut out aluminum foil and we glued it onto the paper. Easy, right?!

For our activity, I hid "gold" (aka Twix bars) in a bin of pinto beans and Emery went "mining" for gold. He LOVED it. He kept digging and counting and hiding it over and over. I also played the Snow White album from my Rhapsody account. We had fun!

For dinner we had "Dwarf burgers" which were sliders, everything else is pretty self-explanatory. ;) Then we watched the movie! Emery actually watched most of it, which was surprising. Overall, it was a great night and I can't wait to do more!

I will attach all my menu's for anyone who wants to print them out. Or you can think of your own fun menu! Until next time....
